This an American insurance company. Founded in 1853 as St. Paul Fire & Marine, in 2004 as The Travelers Companies, it is the second-largest writer of U.S. commercial property casualty insurance and the sixth-largest writer of U.S. personal insurance through independent agents. Travelers is incorporated in Minnesota, with headquarters in New York City, and its largest office in Hartford. It has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since 2009 also S&P 500 Component. It The company has presence in every U.S. state, plus outside USA in the UK, Ireland, Singapore, China, Canada, and Brazil. It ranked No. 98 in the 2021 Fortune 500 list of the corporations with total revenue of $32 billion.

Travelers is one of the largest providers of personal insurance in the U.S. With a focus on commercial and property insurance, the company employs more than 30,000 people and over 14,000 independent brokers and agents in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland. Travelers is the second largest commercial insurance carrier and the largest writer of surety and workers’ compensation in the U.S. The company offers insurance through three major business segments: personal, business, and bond and specialty. In 2020, the company donated more than $5.5 million to COVID-19 relief efforts assisting families, communities, and small businesses across the world.
